We want to make it easier for patients travelling from outside Östergötland to undergo weight-loss surgery by covering the expenses of their travel arrangements. You will also have the possibility to stay at a hotel the night before your surgery as well as after your surgery. You’re welcome to bring a companion, who can stay at the hotel during the 24 hours that you are admitted to the clinic.
Linköping can be reached within hours from most cities in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. We will cover your travel expenses to and from the clinic, it is included in the surgery price. It is up to you if you want to travel by aeroplane, train, car, bus or boat. We will also cover your hotel stay in Linköping.

Fyll i egenremiss- You can get a reimbursement for travel by aeroplane, train, car (25 SEK/10 km), bus or boat.
- You have to live outside Östergötland to get a reimbursement.
- The offers applies in connection with overweight surgery.
- The reimbursement is paid postoperatively upon presenting a receipt for the travel expenses. You can receive a maximum of 2500 SEK in travel reimbursement. If your travel cost is less than the maximum amount, you will receive the amount that the trip cost.
- The reimbursement only covers the travel expenses related to your surgery.
